On for June. Following the UK government publishing a provisional timetable for the return of professional sport on Monday, the Britsh horse racing industry's leaders continue to plan for a resumption of racing from June 1. To this end, the BHA's Flat Pattern Committee has today published an update to the program of Pattern and Listed races for the first seven days of June to reflect this new provisional timetable. The plan remains to stage the 2000 and 1000 Guineas on June 6 and 7, respectively, with Royal Ascot on its scheduled dates from June 16-20. There will be some changes to the order of races at Royal Ascot, which will be confirmed as soon as possible. Had big plans to buy the 5day badges, fly over, spend the week in oxford, train to Ascot, then a week with partners in Scotland. All that after a week in manhattan, taking the lirr to the Belmont(did buy those tix). Toss in a prime Ky Derby box.
So—maybe the Derby—neither of the others. At least we saved a lot of $$$. I am sadly somewhat getting used to this lifestyle. Quiet and much less expensive. Sports don’t seem as important anymore and the political sniping/gridlock is less tolerable than before.
A lot of neat musical podcasts and finally catching up on years worth of movies + working on my golf game. Eating less and moving more—yard work, landscaping, de-cluttering. Some warm weather would make it better.
Hopefully all is as well as can be for everyone!

First local round of golf for me tomorrow. 65 degrees. Have not hit a ball since early March in Fl. Hearing Belmont Stakes at 9 furlongs in late June. A one turn Belmont doesn't seem right.
