Yep, brutal news selfishly as impacts my business significantly but hate it for all the horsemen more so. No additional horses shipping in either and wouldn't be surprised to see Churchill extend the delay on opening their backside either or other tracks cancel all together.
No First Saturday in May now for sure and looking more and more like September. Wouldn't surprise me to see a date switch and allow Ellis some earlier dates in June for Labor Day weekend to run the Derby then at CD.

only way this is "over" by June is if the social distancing thing we are doing now doesn't work. We will have all had it by June about about 10 million people in the US would die. Then we go back to normal. Doubles every 2 days with no social distancing. That is basically all of the US in 2 months. Italy is now more like double every 5 days now with a complete shutdown. If we get to that it's going to take 5 months to get to everyone, if we are better at it (we are far more spread out in the fly over states) maybe 10 months. If 17% require care, that's 56 million people in the US, over 2-10 months. Even if the real number is 1/10th of that 5.6 million people through the ICU in a year? the state of New York has a total of 3100 ICU beds. when we stop cancelling everything, we go back to doubling every 2 days.

Yeah I think we only have just shy of 1 million ICU beds in the entire country. Real stuff, I hope everyone is taking seriously and stays healthy!

No clue at all. I think we’ll see current points frozen and some new races added to make up for races like the Bluegrass not running. The 24 All Others in the futures just got a lot sweeter if the wager stands
