I wish it was only postponed, Elk. Message on Horsetourneys says "cancelled" and refunds of entry fees are imminent. That said, Jack says Debbie sent e-mail suggesting a future date TBD! Ball of confusion......

Funds already back in my HT account! E-mail from Debbie Flaig at The Orleans suggests they may try and reschedule. With refunds being passed out they will have to target the Fall if they want any kind of number of participants considering how many hundreds qualified online who might otherwise not buy in. JMHO!

Funds are back in my account also. Bummer was looking forward to seeing everyone at the UIC table. There's no way I'll have the $1500 still in my account by the fall Larry...lol

Neither will I, Bill! I already withdrew 90% of the 4K I had coming. With the rest I will take a few swings at another entry assuming they get to rescheduling. You will get back in if you try.

I never received an email but Debbie called me Thursday afternoon to notify me about the contest. She said there were lots of cancelations and they were under 200 entries when they decided to cancel. She hopes it will be rescheduled later this year.
In my opinion the end of July when they used to have the Summer Classic might be their target. That should draw a lot of entries and if we get lucky it could become the new contest dates. Much better races than late March.
Larry's $4,000 refund and my $3,500 refund is more than we would have earned finishing 11th-15th.

As a Nation we obviously have many more things to worry about than a handicapping event being rescheduled in Vegas but staying on topic Eddie, I am not sure July would provide enough lead time to build up the field of qualifiers again. I personally think they need to target October while fully realizing their Fall Classic typically happens then. We all love longshots but I fear the rescheduling of the HPWS might prove to be one! JMHO!
