S L O W upwards progress, Nov/Dec gonna have to be monster months! Arch of Troy 2 1 0 0 $29,165 Seeds of Time 8 2 1 3 $62,567 Nomizar 7 3 1 1 $96,096 Rumor Ridge 7 1 0 2 $18,100 October Stable total $205,928
Crumb Bun ran an uninspiring 6th in race 9 at GPW today. She drew into the race as an MTO, but either didn't like the sloppy surface or was just out for a prep for the Claiming Crown races. She earned $600 for this outing to bring the year's total to 105,270 and the stable's total to $278,590.
Vintage Hollywood saved all the ground to finish a creditable third against what I thought was a fairly tough allowance field in AQ's 4th race today. On paper he looked no better than 5th best in the field of 7, but put in a more than decent effort. Not too bad for a horse who started out the year running for a claiming price of $16,000. He earned $9,840 to increase his year's total to $125,750.

Leaderboard as we head into the big money Claiming Crown races at Gulfstream on Saturday
1. Indypacer $297,106 (will be looking over his shoulder on Saturday) 2. Joly B $285,770 ( looking for a crumb bun of comfort in the Tiara ) 3. Badactor $277, 042 (Can Sir Seamus earn some green in the Emerald 🍀)
Was looking forward to the Claiming Crown races at GP on Saturday but it appears that my Crumb Bun did not enter in the Claiming Crown Tiara and Dell's Sir Seamus was not entered in the Claiming Crown Emerald. Too bad - it would have been fun to do some friendly trash talking with Badactor if they had both been running. We'll both have to hope for other opportunities to catch Indypacer before the year comes to a close.

Saturday's cards may provide a December opportunity in what could be a final race of the year for both of my stable's top earners. Crumb Bun has been entered in the Grade 3 Rampart at Gulfstream, even though at 10-1 she has the longest odds on the morning line. Vintage Hollywood has been entered in Race 7 at Aqueduct, an allowance race with an $82,000 purse. Since the other two stable members have been silent for some time, these may be the stable's final realistic chances to improve the year's earnings.
Yesterday was a disappointing day for my two top stable earners. Crumb Bun was 6th out of 6 in the Grade 3 Rampart at GP, while Vintage Hollywood also ran last in an allowance race in the fog at AQ. It seems unlikely that either will be run rack before the end of the year, so my hopes of any challenge seem to have come up short. The third stable runner [Who's in Charge] hasn't been seen since the end of October at GPW. My only hope is that Top of the Game, who had been stabled at Golden Gate while it was closed for quarantine, just appeared in this morning's work tab at Turf Paradise for a very slow workout. Getting race ready before year end seems kind of iffy since I don't think that TuP begins live racing until January.
This are totals so far and could well end up being the year's totals as well:
