These races aren't often won at the start, but they can certainly be lost out of the gate. Don't take too short of a price.
A'Ali has won GIIs at Royal Ascot, Deauville, and Doncaster, sandwiched around a too far, too soft disappointment in the GI Morny that was actually better than it looks on paper. Frankie rides for Simon Crisford. Has merits, but price will suffer a bit with Dettori aboard.
Band Practice has won three straight against lesser overseas, but seems to be on the improve. Jamie Spencer rides, inside post may help her prominent style, price will be an overlay, I think.
Dream Shot probably won't win, but he's always right there at the finish. Sure to be a price, and drew inside to boot. Can crash the board and make your day.
Of the three Wesley Ward trainees, Kimari is the most accomplished, and the most likely winner of this race. Her Royal Ascot race was outstanding, and she showed a new dimension last time circling the field at KEE. If she's 7-2, take that all day long. Four Wheel Drive is two-for-two, both times in stakes races, both times by open lengths. Nice outside post to keep tabs on the speed. May well lead at some point in the race, can he hold on?

10f - Band Practice is a her, and gets 3 lbs in addition to the sweet post.

Thanks Eric, edited my pronouns ...Kimari is a filly also. 2yo filly sprinters regularly run against the boys in Europe, so I don't even factor that here, but 3lbs. less can't hurt.
The tote board should be very interesting once you get past the two (or three) Ward horses and A'Ali. Triples and supers could be large should you choose to go deep. Nice way to start off the two days.

Alligator Alley gets first lasix and blinkers. I believe he has run all straights races, so how he will handle the turn is a fair question, but if 12-1, one I willing to see if he can answer it in the affirmative.

A'Ali is my top choice and apparently Frankie's confident.
While Ward and Dettori have successfully combined for Breeders' Cup success in the past - with Hootenanny landing the 2014 Juvenile Turf - the likeable trainer will not be able to use the Italian's services this year, as he is set to partner the Simon Crisford-trained Norfolk Stakes and Flying Childers winner A'Ali. "Frankie can't ride as he tells me he's got a good one coming over for this race," Ward added.
Will also try a ex box adding Chimney Rock,Encoder,Kimari

I'm with Tom's picks here...(in no particular order). Fillies vs the boys doesn't bother me at all here. A'Ali was really strong winning last out. Band Practice loves to win and really fought hard when the favorite got within striking distance last out. Dream Shot was second to Dr. Simpson in the pretty rare "2 year olds and up" condition, but he lacked room and was absolutely getting to the leader after he finally got clear. He'll close hard here. Kimari hasn't done anything wrong and should run well too.
