Ok, this is late and a little impulsive and not to take away from another generous contest from Bev- but here goes.
Two separate Kentucky Derby win bets (win only) for $25 each are up for grabs;
1) The first goes to whomever posts the longest priced winner from any of the 5 Breeders Cup races on Friday.
2) The second goes to whomever posts the longest priced winner from any of the 9 Breeders Cup races on Saturday.
IMPORTANT- Rules follow:
1) For each day- Post your winner AND a tiebreaker 2nd horse (which only comes into play to break ties).
2) You can choose the same horse as someone else if your tiebreaker is different than a first choice already posted. Scan the choices ahead of you because the tiebreaker horse must be different, than those ahead of you who have picked the same first choice horse.
3) If you are the only one to choose the highest priced winner (among those selections made)- you win. If there are multiple people then we move to the tiebreaker, and the highest price winner from the tiebreaker group wins, if none of the highest priced tiebreakers win, we move to the highest priced place horse, if none of those we moved to show, if none of those, then to 4th, and so on.
4) IF no one has a winner from their longshot first choice picks, then we move to highest priced place horses, if none of them then show, and so on- hopefully we don't get to the "and so on" and that someone can at least pick a longshot in the money each day.
The idea of the contest is to incentivize picking long shots, but because ML odds can change- there is no hard line on what horse you can pick to be eligible. I'll be disappointed if you pick a favorite, but you will still be eligible if you otherwise meet the criteria.
OK- I am open for criticism or someone pointing out any flaws in my rules- this is my first time.
edit- deadlines- same as in Bev's contest
edit #2, in the event your first pick scratches, your tiebreaker becomes your first (and only) pick. If this leads to a tie- I will figure something out.
