Two very difficult races from which to choose today. Have spent a lot of time puzzling over the 6th and am not any closer to a choice. I'd like to get into the head of the morning linemaker, to understand why he made Kensington the 5-2 ML favorite. Having Clement as a trainer is a plus, but IMO the three races she has run so far have little to commend. I may end up with Ian Wilkes's Too Much Detail, but even that will be with little confidence.
Good luck to any of you who are still in this game.

I don't understand the way this contest is being administered. There have been 7 contest days and 212 players are listed as "active." As I understand the rules, any time your pick fails to hit the board or you do not submit an entry, you lose a lifeline. Everyone starts with 1 lifeline, and players are permitted to purchase some additional ones - 2 at the beginning and another 2 on December 15. However, there are many players listed as being active who have lost more lifelines than they possibly could have had. In just one instance, a player hit the board on the first day, then failed to hit the board on the next three days, then failed to play on the next three days, but is STILL listed as active. If he didn't play on December 15, I'm certain that he wouldn't have plunked down an additional $20 for two additional lifelines. There are quite a few examples of this nonsense. I think that my entry should have been eliminated for failing to hit the board on three occasions (I did not purchase any additional lifelines, so should have been eliminated after the second failure), yet there I am, listed as active and placed something like 150th in the standings. If I were a more cynical person, I would think that this contest exists primarily to sell lifelines to players, hoping to raise more money from that than the prize money paid out.
