From BloodHorse in April. Hooper French stakes winner Teddy was imported to the United States in 1932 and as late as 1991 still had 34 direct male descendants listed in the Register through his sons Bull Dog, Sir Gallahad III, and Sun Teddy. But by 2018 only three sires remained—Early Flyer, Skipshot , and Swiss Yodeler. This is a line that as recently as 1998 gave us Horse of the Year Skip Away, and prior to that champion 2-year-old Gilded Time, and top-five sire Private Account, all through Damascus. "by 2018 only three sires remained—Early Flyer, Skipshot , and Swiss Yodeler."
All those are through Sun Teddy, meaning the Bull Dog - Bull Lea - Citation, male line has sadly died out.
