Father Time has caught up to my left hip which as of this time next Monday will be no longer with us. I am scheduled for a total replacement due to osteoarthritis. Too many years of bowling while carrying around a few too many lbs.
Just wondering if any of the UIC community have been through this and what your experience was.
I made the mistake of watching a youtube video of a surgery. It looked like one of those home improvement shows with all the sawing, drilling and hammering. I am also having nightmares about the movie "The Trap" where Rita Tushingham chops off Oliver Reed's leg after he steps into one of his own traps. Primitive Canadian Healthcare!

Have a brother in law and two golfing friends that had the surgery, all came out with flying colors. Their golf scores actually went down. Should be a 300 game in your future! Good luck. Hooper

I have two friends who had both hips placed. Bother claim that hip replacements were snaps and work as wall as new. One, Jim Krull, competed in the St Louis Senior Olympics with a new hip. Mac, you'll be dancing on a pole in no time.

You know you are a horseplayer when less than 24 hours after surgery you are working on Turf Paradise and Survivor Tuesday at Western Fair Raceway!
I wonder if the narcotics will clarify the handicapping process??
