Anyone thinking of playing? 7 stake races. Free Thoro-Graph sheets/data for members until 12/31. Free to sign up. www.thorograph.com/Been using their data for longer than I care to mention. Bellafina coming in off a 2.5 top.........vulnerable?

an appealing race card---nice intervention within the two late football games. Sooners should be competitive with a qb with championship experience for another team--a first Buckeyes with more than their hands full in a game with their qb transfer---three of the four qbs are transfers from Ohio St, Bama and Georgia
will be interesting to see how the track plays out west after the rain.......

Good morning and happy opening day!
I'll share a few thoughts, recognizing I may be completely wrong... but here goes: Race 1. Garth will be completely over bet. Looking elsewhere for the winner. Perhaps, Garth's half-brother, #1 Moon Mischief with Tyler Baze/John Sadler, or #4 Provost with Joel Rosario/John Sadler. A John Sadler exacta? I'm a fan of Jose Valdivia, Jr., and note that at twenty-to-one #2 My Sunshine will pay more to show than either of those will pay to win.
Race 2. Interesting to see Javier Castellano riding out here for opening day... #6 Lucky Peridot at 4-1 is worth a look.
Race 3. Valdivia again at 4-1 on Tacocat. Big long shot opportunity in this race... Brice Blanc, often overlooked, may just ring the (Thomas) Bell at twenty to one aboard Cowboys Daughter.
Race 4. Best Bet... #5 Camps Bay - Joel Rosario for John Sadler.
Race 5. Appears to be a favorites race... Gift Box - Midcourt - Draft Pick
Race 6. Invaders Joe Bravo & Javier Castellano could very well be the exacta.
Race 7. Bellafina will do what Bellafina does. I like Motion Emotion as the long shot here.
Race 8. Excellent Sunset and Mirth are favored. I'll hope to continue a Streak of Luck with Valdivia. I also like Doc's selection on the rail, as they paid a little extra to supplement into the race. Watch the tote on the outside Longshot with Brice Blanc... Trainer Koriner is a gambler, so if taking money, Ms Pientour should be considered live.
Race 9. Omaha Beach - free space on the card?
Race 10. Name play exacta with Neptune's Storm and Ocean Fury.
Race 11. Go Joe Talamo! Ridge Route at twenty-to-one is worth a look.
Have a great opening day at Santa Anita and good luck to all UpInClass players!

How about some love for our host here at UIC? Nails a $110 winner! Btw, I didn't play the race but remembered reading Dell's post earlier this morning and just noticed the result...that is the way it is done!

First Star at 10-1 with 12 MTP seems high in The La Brea.

It's time to think about horses again.
The late Pick-5
R7 Bella looks ready to resume her winning ways after almost winning the BCFMSprint last out. Just in case I'll throw in a saver – First Star
R8 Mirth looks strong but not unbeatable if Harmless can lure her into a drag race. Savers – Excellent Sunset and Curlin's Journey
R9 Baffert has 60% of the field but I think he's running for show money today. I like Complexity after looking at his last race and believing Chad Brown only ships cross country if he's got something special. Can't rule out the fav – Omaha Beach
R10 2-year old maiden crap shoot. PaPa Tony – Include The Tax – Total Tigar – Wicked Blue

Turfway Park, R5 Late evening play after Santa Anita ... Who is Rogelio Miranda? He just subbed on a stable mail horse for me, wow, what a horrible ride. That jockey is a must-NOT-use.

Don’t hold it against him to long, he’s about a 12% rider and positive ROI in most stats

Nice hit with that FTS in the 3rd Dell. Anyone who’s sat with me at a contest has heard me drone on about the bullets in 1st or 2nd workouts... hope we shared that juicy pick 4

Thank you Madameblum and Tony and Elk! I haven't been in position to do much gambling, but I did receive a couple tips from players at my window in the 1st and 2nd races... so I risked $2 across the board on Cowboys Daughter. It was a very nice opening day at Santa Anita!

Sounds like you had a good Saturday...saw you came within a whisker of winning the HT cash game. Guess 2nd is alright but you were oh so close to the top prize...if only Mirth had not battled back after being headed you would have been on top. Great job.
