Can't really find anything online about this years PWCBC, but apparently McKay know something. Horsetourneys is showing a qualifier Sunday for a $6000 entry to the event. Looks like they cut the entry in half from last year.

Yes, the entry fee was cut from 12K to 6K and the contest next year is one day instead of two. At The Big One 5 people won 10K entries to the PWC. McKay explained that he heard the entry fee might get cut to 8K. If it did those 5 would receive a 2K cash deposit in their accounts. With the fee cut to 6K all they need to pony up for a 2nd entry is another 2K. Nice bonus.

Interesting changes. They are still putting $100k in the prize fund, but now taking a $1000 of the $6000 entry too. Obviously it will really boost the prize pool. Takes a good chunk out of their churn though.
Will be interesting to see how the turnout is.

looks like they revised the format and you no longer are forced to wager a huge portion of the bank roll on the Pegasus races. Probably a good move since I can't think anyone is too excited to be shoving 5 figure bets on the only "medication free" race of the year...
