Hi peeps! Haven’t been around in awhile. I haven’t really been keeping up this year so this Breeders Cup is the biggest mystery to me. I read the form last night; kind of like cramming for the big exam and this is my take on Friday’s races.
Juvenile Turf Sprint - A’ALI looks like a good one shipping in from Europe. Has legit Grade 1 form, his Timeform figs stack up well and Dettori is 3 for 3 on him. Seems like a wiseguy though and don’t think I’ll get 6/1. Ward has the two favorites in Four Wheel Drive and Kimari, but his other horse CAMBRIA is my long shot special. Undefeated daughter of Teen Pauline is worth a play at nice odds.
Juvenile Turf - DECORATED INVADER has looked sharp in all his races. Sharp 5f work has this colt trained by Clement ready to roll. Andesite looks like he’s sitting on a big race. Anything Chad Brown puts on the track is dangerous and Structor fits the bill.
Juvenile Fillies- BRITISH IDIOM has looked super in both starts and can stay clise and pounce. Donna Veloce looked like a monster and has gotten alot of buzz, but asking a horse to step up and win the BC off of one race is a tall order. She might be this good but we’ll try to beat her. Wicked Whisper and Bast the best of the rest.
Juvenile Fillies Turf- FAIR MAIDEN has run some nice figs albeit on yielding turf. If she can reproduce those numbers she’ll be tough to beat. Selflessly, trained by Chad Brown is a live longshot. Albigna and Daahyeh are two top Euros and either one can find the winners circle.
Juvenile- looks like a two horse race with Dennis’ Moment and Eight Rings. Not a great betting race.
Good luck everyone. Steve
