Just a reminder that week one games start Thursday night (CHI vs. GB), so get your selections in soon. Good luck to all!

If you dig baseball games that end up 2-1... then the NFL opener was right down your alley! I happen to enjoy a low scoring pitchers duel but pro football 10-3? Not so much. Roger Goodell was there to watch the game and I wonder if he's thinking of tweaking the rules to get more scoring into the mix next year. Obviously we don"t have a large enough sample size to work with but it does make me wonder if two really good defenses square off how it will look. Then again, it is the black n blue division huh? I do hope my back up QB Trubiski gets much better!

The game last night featured more punts and penalties than points! Fans booed. Welcome to Chicago new head coach!

this is his 2nd year there, green bays head coach is new. this low scoring should be expected when most of the players in the game are getting their first game action of the year. since most of them didnt play much in the preseason.

I hate to brag but I love this spreadsheet that I developed for SuperBru. It's done well most years So far ... I changed the spread that the sheet spit out for 'Bru this week. I allow one change a week, NE (22 to) 39 that grabbed the margin but with the Ravens at home vs a rookie qb in Charm City I changed the 6 up a bit. Ravens won by 6. The sheet also spit out the tie but my first weeks last year were under my usual performance so I just couldn't take a tie this early if ever.
If I just put down the sheet number, the sheet is #1 in the world pretty sure and #1 in the US positively. Spreadsheet/system for sale LOL.

I am not aware of extra points Hoop. You pick the spread but nothing extra I'm aware of. Maybe it's a Rookie Penalty...lol...

Scoring information is here. I should have posted this earlier, sorry about that. It's not obvious where to find it on the website, takes a little hunting around.

Bonuses for being within 5 of the correct spread.
A 3 point bonus divided between those that were exactly right. It's nice to to be lonely at the top on this one, all 3 yours.
I believe the slam point is for picking 10 winners and might be more points if you're perfect.
You can pick the wrong team and still get a point by having the margin right in a close scoring game. You pick somebody by 4, they lose by 1 so then you get the margin point for being within 5.
hope that's right zig

Of course now I've jinxed myself. At least I don't haven't to worry about tonight. I haven't been right yet on Thorsday.
