On Thursday 9 players hit 2 dingers. Think the balls are juiced or are hitters just teeing off at this rate? I think it may be a little of both. This feat has not happened since 2002.

Ask Verlander, he has an opinion, and he’s probably right. Approach has changed and that’s contributing but the ball is livelier, I think. Now, whether that is by design or not is a whole different debate.

Follow the money. Homers pack in the fans. I personally prefer an old school 3-2 type game but with the casual fan wants the ball hammered out imo. Like the NFL, rules have been inserted that seem to favor the offenses. Speaking of 3-2 games, Texas just got a 2 out 2 run double in the 6th to go ahead of the Twins!
