.....should you be making your reservations "now" in Louisville and lock in lower room rates ?

I was listening to a podcast the other day which had a discussion on this. A few good points came up. One, should a breakdown occur at the Breeders Cup run at Santa Anita, this not only becomes a California thing, it becomes a national thing effecting horse racing everywhere.
Two. California members of PETA which will be demonstrating around the track far outweigh any demonstration they can expect in Louisville.
Safer bet to hold it at CD.
