I used Bruno work reports for Oaks/Derby and Belmont Stakes weekends. I highly recommend for full card handicapping, imo best with maidens and races below G1. Between his handicapping insights and workout reports, you can identify the not so obvious contenders who blow up mutuel prices. Along with my trend of playing Asmussen/Santana in all dirt races, particularly sprints. Would have never used Hog Creek and Borracho either weekend without him. Those two plus Nitrous blew open my whole weekend yesterday. Unfortunately let it all ride on the nose of Tacitus( sometimes anymore I try to take a serious shot instead chickenshitting around).
Beats thorograph imo—easier to read understand and does a lot of work for you.

What Bruno product were you using this spring? This could be a great thread. Compare different fig makers with no bias coming in. Hooper

I get the report through BRIS, in the PICKS section. Costs $15.95 and isn't released until the actual race day morning to avoid being passed around. Match it with what you know and handicap yourself, and it will probably be a very worthwhile companion. I passed it to another uic member Derby weekend and he seemed very impressed. I could probably save Saturday's edition and send it to you if you would like. I am a believer and tired of #s de-ciphering. This is not about speed figures---totally different tool. Best for gimmicks players.

Thanks Spider. I would love to see the product. Never too old to learn. I was not aware Bruno did handicapping insights. Hooper

The only thing I used were Bris PPs. I have purchased Brunos workout reports in the past, not not the handicapping product. I found it the most useful for first time starters. I do have some sense for many trainer workout patterns, but have a long way to go on that.

i am currently reading ainslie's complete guide to thoroughbred racing by tom ainslie. i took it out from my local library. it has helped me understand what i am reading when looking at pp's. when i am done reading it i plan on buying a paperback copy( updated ) to keep so i can reread it until i completely understand what it is i am looking at.

The product on BRIS is the only product that I know of. I use the Ultimate pps + comments, and have for years. Haven't bought a DRF in quite a while. #s reflect the past imo, so I like something that is more in line with indicating immediate future. The workout reports fill that need for me. The handicapping and wagering strategies are also helpful since they go far beyond touting chalk. The extendedworks records and pedigree insight is also interesting. The report thinks like a gambler searching for legitimate value imo.

To be honest $16 for the occasional day is well worth it . Would not even get you two beers at Saratoga !

The beer at Saratoga is always free if you can find Docs table or my blanket. Grew up with DRF,use Bris most often during the season and on big days supplement with ThoroGraph. Spider's Bruno report is interesting. Hooper
