RIDGECREST, CA. is 3 1/2 hours from home in Los Alamitos. Traveling & staying overnight... performing 5 shows in two days. My comeback tour continues! (Missing the ex-wife less and less everyday.)

Soon, the ex will be a distant memory my friend. People care about you Dell. Good people. Not the low life scavengers that...wow, I have forgotten her name! I'm happy that you and what's her name spent Thanksgiving with Lou and I a few years ago. Good luck!

Dell have you investigated the cruise ship opportunities? I would think the ability to croon the standards of that era would be something that the cruise lines would really like. We were on a cruise in March and there was definitely a demographic that longed for that kind of sound. Wishing you continued success.

I've never been out to sea... I'd do it!
Entertaining on a ship would be great fun. Steve played on a cruise ship for a time
and he said the food was outstanding.
For folks who missed the original air date...
here's a link to the replay of the radio show:

Follow up story in the Ridgecrest newspaper...🎼🙂 Steve and I perform in Orange County on Saturday, then we have two shows on Sunday for Mother's Day. We'll be at the Magic Lamp Inn on Monday night... then we jump in the car and drive to Ridgecrest, CA.. I'm really looking forward to the next several days!

Great idea by Large Mac! I've been to sea on cruise with Royal Caribbean and it was amazing. Great food, great rooms, serious babe-age (I was divorced). We hit all the islands in the Caribbean. I do recall two things. 1. How dark it is with only stars as light. How we passed by a ship Carnival and they were doing some serious partying!

Two newspapers serve the town of Ridgecrest, CA. and our Piano & Song concert tour has now been covered by both papers. It is such a joy making music with Steve, and performing for senior audiences warms and fills my heart with happiness! ❤❤❤

Just got home from a successful tour to Ridgecrest... one of the audience members took a few videos & posted to YouTube. Here are some random moments from our museum performance:

The museum show was our 4th show of the day and I must admit... the voice was a little bit tired by the time evening rolled around. But, you get a sense of what it is I do. Engaging with the audience is what I enjoy most about performing... especially working with seniors. The morning and afternoon shows at the senior communities were truly wonderful. To see those vacant expressions among the elders as they come alive hearing the music they grew up with and love is an amazing experience for me to witness up close. #Blessing.
Checked my e-mail a moment ago and found I will be working a window @ SA for Preakness. These happy days are a sharp contrast to life in Oklahoma last year... life is good again.

And oh, by the way... (lol) ...in addition to audience participation, when there are other singers in the room - I invite them to join the fun.

Not only did Richard Kaminski guest sing Volare by request at my show... he also demonstrated his amazing ability to tell you what DAY you were born. So, that's my report on Piano & Song's out of town travel sharing the music. I'm tuckered out now and plan to get a good night's sleep... good night & good luck!

This is Miss Opal... she is 111 years old and turns 112 next month.
I just love it when folks sing-a-long!
Between shows we stopped in at the senior center for lunch and a couple songs.
...and we had a nice turn out for the evening performance at the museum.

may i ask why you are singing to a blue dress?

The blue dress was part of the Maturango Museum exhibit... it reminded me of my first celebrity crush - Miss Debbie Reynolds! In 1974, I got to see her perform at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles. I had seen and adored Debbie in movies and now I was going to see her in person. The blue dress conjured memories of watching her sing "Alice Blue Gown" in the musical IRENE.
Also, in IRENE is the song "You Made Me Love You"
That is the song I sang to the blue dress that night.
...and now Ladies & Gentlemen:
Miss Debbie Reynolds. (I was 14 and in love!)

Ten years later, I saw Debbie perform at the MGM in Las Vegas. I was thrilled and amazed to see how she worked the showroom.
She came down from the stage and played among the audience. That was the moment I realized a performer could play up close and share an intimate experience with people... in that moment, I decided to "borrow" Miss Reynold's entertaining performance style. Everything I do as a performer... I learned from Debbie Reynolds!

I received word today that Miss Opal has passed...
she lived a full and happy life and I will miss singing with her next month in Ridgecrest.
I am blessed to have made her acquaintance and will cherish the memory of her whispering to me
"I am your oldest and bestest audience member." Miss Opal was a real Sweetheart!

Sorry to hear of Miss Opal’s passing..... I am sure it was as joyful for her to sing with you as it was for her to sing with you...
