I just learned that Slammin’ Sammy Snead, who has the most PGA victories of 82, also is the only male to win an LPGA event! It happened in 1962 where he won the Royal Poinciana Invitational. It was a ‘battle of the sexes’ type of tournament. He was the only male in the tournament in 1962. He also played it in 1961. It was a par three tournament and held in Palm Beach Florida. Interesting.
I am wondering why Phil Mickelson is in the World Golf Hall of Fame, yet Tiger is not. Anyone have an answer?

Quick I believe that the minimum age used to be 40 and was when Mickelson got in but that it was increased to 50 at some point.

I've noticed that most televised golf tournaments seem to have a small black contingent in the gallery. Any thoughts on why? Not trying to turn this into a racial issue at all, just curious.I recall Rodney Peete and his contributions to the game..It was believed that Tiger would grow the sport and stimulate black youths to play the game. Doesn't seem to be the case and I wonder why...

That is a fair question. Certainly access may well be tough in many areas depending on the availability of reasonably priced public courses. As a public course golfer myself, I see a fair number of black golfers though they are all retired gentlemen. In the league I play in we have 5 of a total of 20-24 of us (2 man teams) from year to year.

The Cooler was in fine form today! I had Ian Poulter and he really spit the bit but I had hedged my bet taking Dennis Johnson to win. Thought I couldn't lose! Johnson got a double whammy shot of the Cooler effect!
