This has turned into an interesting situation. I would expect Bell to remain with Pittsburgh. Brown will be traded. Is it because he and Big Ben don't see eye to eye? As a Cowboys fan for...well...ever, I always enjoy seeing Pittsburgh lose. Still have nightmares of Franco, Swann, Mean Joe, etc...Brown to the Browns?

49er's,Browns,Jets and Colts all have between $70 and $100 million in cap space. Would expect them to be big players. Steelers really going to trade Brown and take a $20 million cap hit? Hooper

I think "Mr. Big Chest...AKA....Big Chest Brown. ...." has gotten too big for his britches... He, I think, frankly, is hurting his chances for a trade. Maybe he is trying to make himself look so bad that the Steelers DO get rid of him?? Mr. Rooney I think is too smart for that.....
What team or players would want to deal with him and his multiple personalities in the locker room?
Maybe Hoop, you're right. Steelers just hold on to him.
By the way.....I'm glad you didn't mention the Patriots in your list of suitors.... Belichick is way too smart for that .... and by the way... you CAN'T have Le'Veon either.......
Spanky.....The Browns, Ravens and Cincinnati are NOT options either.....

Bell will be gone. That is a fact. He may get what he wants elsewhere. We'll see.
Brown will be traded IF the Steelers get "at least" a 3rd round pick for him. If not, he will be a Steeler next year. He is under contract.

Bell is gone, he's not under contract and the Steelers have said they are not going to tag him again. I would say Jets 2-1, Raiders 5-2, Texans 7-2 would be the favorites to land him.
Brown has most definitely gotten way to big for his britches. The Steelers are going to have a very hard time trading a guy who walked out on his team week 17, with a chance at the playoffs. I would guess it drags out and they end up cutting him before paying the 2.5 mil roster bonus on day 5 of the league year. Raiders would have to be the huge favorite to end up with him. Browns and Titans other possibilities.

Think Bell we be a bad buy for whomever signs him. Tough to predict how the year off will affect him but percentages say that as a running back he probably only has a year or two at a high level of performance left in any case.

Living in Pittsburgh and watching this unfold has been interesting, to say the least. A slow moving train wreck for a couple of years that sped up quite a bit this year. Bell is almost certainly gone. Jets have been mentioned as a potential destination. I think Colbert's recent statements on Brown (basically, that they won't give him away) is posturing to try to salvage some trade value. It's really hard to imagine that they could bring Brown back at this point.
I don't think Bell will get the money he thinks he will and my guess is he never recoups what he gave up sitting out last year. Brown is a real enigma. I guess someone will take a shot on him but his behavior is concerning. Many locally and some nationally are beginning to wonder if he doesn't have real mental issues. Either that or he's really trying to hurt the Steelers by diminishing what they can get in a trade. Just a crazy situation all around. Not sure how Tomlin gets this thing turned around, but getting rid of those two is a big start.

They traded Brown and took a $21 million cap hit,10% of their total salary. They really wanted out on that guy. Chuck Knox
