40 minutes ago Ricky was leading the field by 5 strokes. Now he's one stroke behind Grace having dropped 4 strokes in 2 or 3 holes. That seems to be his usual story - very competitive for 3-1/2 rounds but can't close the deal. I know he's won tournaments and I really hope he pulls this one out because I like him, but this happens too often to a pro as good as he seems to be.

There are so many golfers with superlative physical skills- mental toughness is often the separator.

Give Rickie credit for gathering himself and finishing strong after falling behind.

another bizarre finish in a sporting event. New rules in both golf and the NFL seem to be altering the results. Both need some attention imo. The NFL competition crew better take a long hard look in the mirror. They have to consider their base (the fans) and understand it's a physical sport and while player safety is a premium...they have to loosen up on the hitting the QB crap. Sure, the QB is the cash cow for most teams but they are still players that need to be treated like they cab be hit. Can you imagine how many calls Deacon Jones would have been flagged on?
I think Ricky is the best clutch putter on tour now. Has to be considered a major threat for the Masters.

Very happy for Ricky who is admired and respected by both fans and fellow players alike.
Spanky , only you can hijack a rare golf thread for yet another rant against the NFL 😜

Dang it Bev, when you're right you're right. Sorry to golf peeps and Ricky fans. I also was amazed by the way he won this tournament. Very emotional win for sure. Seems like everything I say or type seeps into blasting the NFL. I'm on my way to recovery though...I made a nice score last night betting Texas Tech over West Virginia!

According to Golf Channel's stat guru Justin Ray, Fowler had the worst ball-striking performance of any winner in the strokes gained era, which goes back to 2004. And it's not particularly close. After gaining 11.263 shots on the field from tee-to-green over the first three rounds (an average of 3.754 per day), Fowler lost nearly six shots in that area on Sunday alone.
Choke and still win, rare. Hooper

Will tiger williams win a major ever again or even end up in the top five again....and what is Milkelson doing these days....gee I hate it when word perfect is changing words to suit itself....spelling help is ok but when one has to change letters of words it is not a pleasant procedure after the fact...oh, and Justin rose is due as is woodland....etc...lol
