did you folks know that if one blocks the cookies one cannot sign in here ? Yup....just found that out....and clearing out the cookies every so often is a good way to assist hackers etc from sending in various spy ware etc....lol...too many folks are having problems that must be coming from the cookies feature....privacy issues are a problem .....and when the problems arrive they will cause a lot of troubles and costs in dollars and cents etc....just a thought...a lot of sites will not allow entry if they cannot have access to one's computer and that is a form of back door entry....sure hope these sites have really good protection from hackers that use cookies, if you get my drift....lol..etc just a thought...

3. How do we use Cookies (and what can you do to control them)? “Cookies” are files that are placed on your computer by websites you visit. The purpose of a Cookie is to identify you as a unique user of the Website. ProBoards uses Cookies on the Website for the following purposes:
For Verification – ProBoards uses Cookies to verify your account and, if you choose, make it so you do not have to re-enter your login information each time you visit the Website. Cookies can also help us identify if someone may be trying to access your account without permission — for example, by making numerous failed login attempts in a row. For Analytics and Performance – As explained above in Section 2, we use Cookies, including those placed by third-party vendors, to gather information that helps us understand how you and other users engage with the Website and improve its performance. For Security – We may use cookies, including those placed by third-party vendors, to gather information that helps us maintain the security of our software and systems. For Advertising – As explained above in Section 2, we use Cookies, including those placed by third-party partners, to deliver ads to you and other users via the Website. Cookies may allow us and our partners to ensure you do not see the same advertisements repeatedly, help us identify and block unwanted advertising, and help us provide advertising customized to your interests, including by displaying ads to you for other websites you’ve previously visited. Cookies may also help us and our partners measure how often users click on ads or view ads. Cookies may further help us and our partners identify advertising fraud, for example identifying bots, multiple clicks, or fake clicks on ads. Exponential Interactive, Inc, as our partner, have a legitimate interest to collect and profile personal data in the form of IP address and cookie ID from users on our website in order to provide targeted online advertising and ad measurement. For more details including opt-out requests, access requests or complaints, please review their privacy policy or contact their data protection officer via privacy@exponential.com. This cookie is a persistent third party tracking cookie that expires after 3 months.
You have the ability to delete and control Cookies. If you do not wish to have Cookies placed on your device, you can set your browser (such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome) to refuse Cookies before accessing the Website, with the understanding that certain features of the Website may not function without the aid of Cookies.

Thank you....I had just read something similar at another site ....and it is a fact though ,one needs very good protection ,so that these cookies are not hacked as well as they are always a target for them hackers....and a few sites have thus been hacked...I was part of one that used cookies and had major problems and the cookie set up allowed entry through the back door....the site is up and running again but....I know thier version of the benefit of cookies but there is also a negative side...lol...thanks for the time etc showing the above...oh, I had also read my pads version the other day....lol...and some other sites...just out of interest since I was having a few slow down troubles at times in the day when this should not happen.... and that on other computers as well...I remember once when a large sports organization who used cookies e-mailed me and enquirey if I was using a public computer , Lol..and I do and was at times...so the back ground entries must be watched and cookies must be cleared so often...I allow only cookies where I log in...and after logging out I expect them to be gone and not be operating / working in the back ground..lol...to many ways for spy ware to enter as well...
