Ok, post picks, comments, anything related to the Big Game right here. I'm sure we can come up with some creative contest for UIC members. Can't go wrong with the Otis Special but any ideas for prizes are welcome!

Pats win easy...lol...and I noted the Roman numerals to start off....lol...when I went to school , way back, we learnt the Roman numerals before the English version of same....lol..I guess it was taught in schools because the idea was that we were living after an improved version of the Roman Empire maths...lol..and I agree, that we are , in that , as the Roman Empire did to Buy the seat of emperor and the folk that were richest and were the most influential to become emperor of Rome , the free world governments still do so....like Clinton and its dollars etc...lol...and so on....yup, we learnt the Roman numerals before and what use are the in every day life...nil...lol...just a thought...but then , the universal language of drafting is the language of the now. And cumputor language is the way of today and tomorrow....lol...yup, the programmers have us at thier mercy....lol...

interesting pick spider...by double digits? What's your line of thinking on this? It's really hard to bet against the Pats but the line is only -2' which seems fishy to me...over/under at 58'...

With apologies to Hooper, I am already on the Rams. Hopefully, the jitters the Rams seemingly displayed in the first quarter against NO are over.

new orleans saints should have won in a properly officiated game...and the refs were moved to a different hotel etc etc...must be a lot of folk who are very , very , angry,...but the bookies are very, very, happy ....lol...so the pats win by a big margin but had they played the saints it would have been a see saw battle for sure...pats 34 rams 21...i think the pats defense will come up big...and probably the fiasco from the saints game will cause a lot of delays in calls because of the challenges etc...and it should be a cleaner game ...but that guy JOHNSON , 'i' think his name is playing for the pats may once again cause a few problems for the pats...penalties may make a difference in the first quarter, so 'i' hope if this guy, does get any penalties, they have an alternatives to take his place for the rest of the game....lol...and thus win the game...the rams were one of my four teams to win the super bowl from the start of the season as were the rams....the saints were also one and also were the eagles ...lol...so 3 out of 4 is not bad...

Spanky...I thought you were through with those thieving bastiges. I heard the one book opened it a pick em and the Pats got hammered early. They raised it to -2.

That is my pick, Spanky, though over the years I have lost a small fortune taking the points vs the Pats(often dead by halftime).
I think that the Ram D is finally coming together at the right time. Their D line is pretty impressive with big name big game pass rushers, and their D backs shut down Brees at home(rarely happens). We all know that Super Tom doesn’t like to be hit or scramble.
We have “young vs old” here with NE’s killer Bs and experienced O weapons against Goff, McVay + Gurley, CJ and good receivers. If last year’s Eagles team can beat the Pats, then I believe that this Ram team(particularly the D line) can do the same.
I haven’t bet any football so far this year(true!), and am ready to make one serious play on the small dog. Money line if I could...though the payoff wouldn’t be much better.
I also think that this game will go UNDER the 58.5 total, though it will be played indoors.

Supposedly opened Rams -1 and quickly reversed. They’re saying -3 looks inevitable.
Spider, Rams up to +125 ml.

The question is , which state has the larger population of NFL bettors this early on....and the pats have an great historical edge on the Rams...lol...so the odds will go up or down in the last couple of hours which will count...

Does anyone remember when the Cowboys won that Super Bowl and Randy White and Harvey Martin were co-MVP's? I can see Donald and Shu doing it again this year. I'm starting to lean to the Rams. (Cooler alert).

come on the script is already written....Rams pull ahead in the 4th quarter...Tom Terrific leads the Pats down the field...he hits Gronk for a 16 yard td...then Edelman for the game winning 2pt conversion...Tom then retires to the ample bosom of Giselle....its a storybook ending! I'll have a little bit on the Pats to make it fun....but if by some gift of the gambling gods they're a dog, I'm in for a bunch

Seems to me that the Pats have been athletically inferior to just about every team they've beaten in big games over the years. Rams have better players, but.....

I hear what you are saying, Sean and gooch, and can't disagree.....still have seen numerous chinks in the Pat's armor over the last two seasons. Point noted that they have played extremely well in their two playoff games. While not disputing the "greatness" of the qb and coaching staff, I will stubbornly stick with my play. If I lose or get blown out early this year, it will not be the first time(or second or third time) that I have been wrong on a large Super Bowl play. Let's just hope for an exciting, well-played, non-controversial match-up that keeps us entertained and in doubt until the finish... Though a Ram blowout would work for me(remembering Atlanta's big lead two years ago).

I thought the game opening around a pick(no home field advantage)was correct so getting the Rams + points seems like the right side as far as a bet.
Feel better getting +3 in what seems like a coin flip type game than playing the Rams on the money line. If any of the final four teams were in this game I'd have it as a pick'em.To me they're all the same.

My book is holding firm at Pats -2' and 56'. To be honest, this could be one of the least watched Super Bowls ever. The halftime entertainment sucks imo. Commercials will draw more people to the boob tube than the game. Pats fans will be out in force of course but let's face it...KC and the Saints are what people really want to see. Both got screwed but the silver lining could be that Goodell and the Rules Committee will fix some things. The NFL can't be too thrilled about these teams either. You know Lord Goodell cringes at the thought of handing Belicheat another Lombardi Trophy.

I hope none of the bumb folk on the teams does the knee " thing iiiieee " or the " fist " thing iiieeee" to start the game or during etc...I read in a few places many saints fans have decided not to watch the game and many a bar etc will not show the game in New Orleans etc...lets see if folk bring political cards to the game which has nothing to do with the game as well...lol....gosh, I am coming to hate it when the computer puts its words in that were not written...lol...or partial words etc...and the officials will be tip towing in this game for sure...officials will likely delay the game with a lot more huddles to confer with each other in this game....so let's hope for fewer penalty calls...lol...after all, we do not want the defence on either side get a " rest " break to often during the game...lol....could be a break for either team...small things like that can be the difference during a game....lol

I was looking at the prop bets offered by different books and think if I had the opportunity to place one or two I would take the score would end in a 6 (+1000) or 7 (+700) point spread.

Spank - there millions of fans who want to watch the Pats try to win another SB and hopefully see Brady pull another rabbit out of the hat in the last 15 seconds of the game. We all are lucky that we get/got to see the greatest football player in history still playing and, hopefully, continue to add more accolades to his roster. It would be like watching Secretariat trying for his 8th BC Classic win.
Spank, what call, or calls, in the NE-KC game that you think definitely cost KC that game? I didn't see one.

great stage for a protest...hope it happens and hope it is slightly more aggressive than taking a knee...would love to see a bit more of an aggressive gesture...it is the nfl afterall...it is powered by aggression!

Hoop, what's the planned beverage for the game and if the Pats win? Haven't honed in on mine, yet.
Among my specs, former Pitt Panther Aaron Donald to win the MVP.
