A bookie friend of mine in San Antonio truly thinks that pro sports are rigged. We know the NBA is because a ref was convicted of it. I think after some of the calls in the Dallas loss yesterday in favor of the Rams indicate spmething was not right. I know, crying over spilled milk some will say. But really, several calls were just blown or not called. Now normally you usually see what I call the "make up call" which is when a blown call happens the refs will make a call for the other team to kind of balance things out. Refs are human and make mistakes. But even the so called "expert" in the booth in NYC said a fee calls were suspect. But those "make up" call never came for the Cowboys. Humm......

So I’m traveling back to Philly from Florida today and I bumped into Nick Saban at the airport lounge (he used to be a neighbor of mine in Ft Lauderdale when he coached the Dolphins ) He was still distraught after the devastating loss to Clemson which he was totally at a loss to comprehend. I then told him that Spanky had a large bet on Alabama to win the Championship and I could immediately see a weight lifting off his shoulders.
He looked up at me and said “Now I don’t feel so bad, you can’t beat that ! “

Go ahead Bev, kick a guy when he's down! I'm still in as much shock as Saban. I am gullible enough to believe that story of you bumping into him and he was your neighbor but if you've managed to get Spanky's name in the game I'm grateful!

There not a sport , of any kind , that has not been rigged etc as in " taken advantage of " to play the betors ,as the paying suckers ,in any sport ,including the players in the sports in every which way and shape to take advantage of the general public....lol...same in gov. offices via elections etc etc...companies competing with each other etc etc...that also is the sporting thing to do...lol...just ask the banks, and car / auto manufacturers etc...they all took the tax payer to the cleaners...and our auto industry is moving to Mexico etc...and thus the lost jobs and other industries based on the incomes of the employees of same are going to hurt hugely etc etc...now that is what they call " sporting " as well....lol...and so on....sad but true...

Oh, and Cherokeescot...you are quite right....it is who one knows that counts a very great deal and not what one knows that gives profit to one ....what one knows must not be emphizeszed to those who place us in positions of better values....lol..( they may get jealous and envious if one shows one has more to offer in the capacity which our benefactor has to offer in what one knows etc...lol..) ...when in grade one, I think it was, the teacher indicated that we should build relations with each other for life as we move up the grades etc...she was correct....the building blocks are those ,we ,in whose lives we enter each day ,etc Esspec. those we grow up with...still remember that...sure wish I had followed the concept early on....lol
