In Friday's third race no one won the triactor since three long shots came in which is the first time I have seen this since about the time I went track side, lol...so what happens to the money in the pool? does the track get it ? Which would truly be a major reason for criminal charges to be brought against the tracks management....lol...I went and watched the races ant the payouts and no payout for the tri but the payouts for all the other were listed in order....but then went to the results page of the sites where folk go for results like Equibase etc and found that it gives a payout of 17 thousand I think it was....any one know what happens in cases like this ? Does the track get the daily bank interest or a weeks interest before putting the pool money back into the bettors pools in some way...lol..etc...any one know...?

Meadowlands site shows the trifecta paying $17,370.80 for a $2 bet. Since US tracks don't call any bet a triactor, perhaps you didn't see a payout since nobody had it in Canada. Since the trifecta is not a carryover wager at the Meadowlands, if nobody had the 1-9-5 trifecta in that race, there would be a payout for 1-9-all. IF nobody had the first 2 runners combined in the trifecta, it would go to 1-all-all. If nobody had the 1 to win in any trifecta wager, the pool would be refunded.

Lol...a big win fall for the track via folks buying the tickets at the window , lol...as the track would not be able to give a refund...lol...and folks I know who pick up discarded tickets off the floor and have many times come up big and on a weekly bases got around plus a hundred dollars this way....lol... Woodbine tossed out a couple of my aquainted folk for doing so...lol...the track gets a hug win fall from folks tossing away winning tickets or not getting the scratched horses refunds ...etc...lol...and the track gets a big win fall from selling tickets on specific horses running a final race, that folks keep ,and sell in later years to collectors...etc...they are never cashed so the track gets that win fall as well...and of course the interest these tickets give year by year....lol...etc...

The track doesn't get any kind of "win fall". In NJ, the unclaimed money is split between the breeders association and the state's general fund. Track gets zero, but you keep on thinking what you want. :-)

Track gets zero, but you keep on thinking what you want. :-) Lol...same thing...the bettors lose .....a lottery should be set up at the track every six months in which all attending get a no when entering and the claim monies should have the same prize allotment , rounded out to the nearest dollar , say , a draw of two hundred dollars each draw until the cash is won....so there could well be a few hundred folks being very happy indeed every six months...and I do know that there is an awful lot of money gained thus....a whole lot...so I know what i know , from first hand experience , of many , many , years...and I lived at the tracks , 18 hours a day , for many , many , years.......and then some....lol...and I knew all that went on at said tracks and the rotten folk that worked there, in administration , and thier assistants ,and it had a very dark side to it...but then , these days , there are no rotters in the ranks of trainers , owners, stable helps , etc etc....lol...nope, not any more...only angel like folk now work and play in the industry....lol....this just a view of the historical fact I have observed etc...would you like a security point of view ,perhaps ,regarding the serious troubles that happen behind the sceans , that the general public ,going to the track do not know about....like gangs following winners home etc etc...good stuff like that....lol...or the parking attendants searching you car when parking them , or taking them out for a joy ride, or later stealing the vehicles for markets else where...and good stuff one hears about from the insiders via the grape vine etc in later years while reminesing about the horses one should have boxed or mixed into big payoffs etc...lol...aaahhhh those were years well past....sure am glad all these and other things do not happen track side any more....lol....the above is meant as a houmorous jest at tracks of the past...lol
